Catalytic converter question

I welded onto my 2007 Ford Ranger 2 catyltic converters from a 2004 Ford Ranger. My question is now that they are securely positioned and welded onto my 2007 Ford Ranger. Do I have to get o2 sensors for a 2004 Ford ranger because we have 2 codes that say sensor 2 bank 2 malfunction and sensor 2 bank 2 stuck .. open loop. Please let me know thanks

While welding in the New\Old cats, you may have cooked\damaged the OxygenSensor.
Sensor 2 Bank 2 is the rear\downstream sensor on the left\drivers side.
Should be a standard 4Wire=NaroowBand Bosch\MotorCraft;
the 4WireFordSensors+4PinFordConnectors are all the same,
just cable length varies as needed.

I didn't weld them myself, but I did pay a pretty penny to have them put on. The guy who did it didn't hook them back up at all, but I do notice that this particular sensor 2 bank 2 o2 sensors is like 3 inches short of where it needs to be. Is it possible that he put all of them in the wrong way or do you think that obe in particular might be fried

1986 to 2011 Rangers all used the same O2 sensors, narrow band

O2 sensors can be ordered with different length wires attached, that's why part numbers are different

1995 and up V6 Rangers have minimum of 3 O2 sensors
Bank 1, sensor 1(upstream)
Bank 2, sensor 1(upstream)
Bank 1 sensor 2(downstream), after Cat converters

Bank 2, sensor 2 would ONLY be found on DUAL exhaust systems, so you must have a dual exhaust system from the factory or computer wouldn't be expecting a voltage from B2S2

Please include CODE NUMBERS, as there are many different codes for B2S2
P0156 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0157 02 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0158 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0159 02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0160 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0161 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

Yes, all O2 sensors your computer is programed for must be working/plugged in, so get O2s with longer leads to reach Truck connector for that O2 sensor

P0161 means B2S2 O2 sensor wire is unplugged or wiring is damaged
P2272 means the same thing

O2 sensors have 2 parts inside, and 4 wires
They have a heater part, 12volt wire and ground wire, gets power with key on, thru computer so it "knows" if heater is working, and in this case it is NOT WORKING

And they have the sensor part, it makes its own voltage, 0.1v to 0.9volt so under 1 volt, 0.1volt is LEAN, 0.9volt is RICH
So 0.0volt(no wires) is lean and stuck there, not changing, so P2272 O2 sensor for bank 2 sensor 2 is stuck lean.
