Im thinkin that im gonna put a CB in the truck. i was lookin on ebay when i realized that i have NO idea what im supposed to be looking for.. i have no idea what im gonna need, how to wire it up, what brands to use? does anybody have an extra cb, or a used one thats in good shape? help please!

Cobra CB, i have a 29ltd.....and a wilson antenna.....An asthetic mic (sp) for noise cancelation...I would sell you my set up if you were in ohio...

If it were me i wouldnt get one off ebay, i would search for CB shops around your town....I found like 5 just in columbus, thats where i buy my stuff at, he can match the cb to what you want it for, put in different internals and what not

 

thx guys... do they sell CB's at places like Radioshack or Best Buy, or are there shops that specialize in CB's

That's typically where they locate CB Radio shops that are worth a darn.

 

There are actual CB shops, for truckers......Walmart sells a small cobra, if your just wanting something for car to car, or less than a 5 mile radius...then just get a small cobra 40 channel CB and a nice wilson magnetic mount antenna....But you can end up spending tons of money on just a CB ...
