What do you guys use to clean the white lettering on the sidewalks of your tires? I need something that won't hurt my rims as well!! The white is starting to turn brown cause all I ever used to clean them before was a pressure washer...

Please help thanks!!!

 

they make actual whitewall cleaner. pretty much everywhere and wont hurt the rims as long as yoou dont let it sit. just spray the letters down and use a scrub brush 2 or three times they will look new

 

brake clean works also but DONT let it sit. works good if you spray onto a clean towel and then wipe each letter off

 

oh and as always simple green is your friend haha. its cheap and it doesnt hurt anything

 

I've been using something called Bleech White, makes 'em come out looking like new.

I find that Awesome from dollar tree works good just spray it on and wipe it off. Or you can use a brush if they are really bad.

Bleech white ftw, but in pinch comet cleanser will work too (with a scrub pad)

 

The best way to clean them is to get a box of SOS scrubby pads. The kind you would scrub dirty pots and pans with. Just wet down the tires and scrub the white letters then rinse off the blue residue. Works great, is dirt cheap, and a box will last you forever.

 

I just use Simple Green or some sort of similar cleaner with a brush... then rinse with water and turns out great!

Comet is good for bad oxidation on chrome. Leaves a residue though.

 

I've used Westley's Bleach White, and it works great. I'd definitely recommend that first.

I also use Comet and a scrub brush. Works well too.

 

I've seen that Awesome cleaner @ Dollar Tree, but I never tried it...

Guess I'm gonna have to get a bottle of it to try out.

gonna agree with the simple green and a hard bristle brush, the meguiars car wash with the scrub brush works well too...

 

This. Plus you most likely already have some under your sink.
