Clear bra?

Does anyone have a clear bra on their truck? If so what did you pay for it?

Jake, you SOB, why the hell did you NOT call me before posting this LOL

They arent that expensive, unfortunately I bought the truck with the clear bra on it already, but they're about 200-250 to have done.

It makes all the difference in the world, however they're hard to keep clean and almost invisible

i have a invince a shield spelled that wrong but my friend installs them on cars trucks. 3m makes it. mine is clear so the paint shows through and has texture kind of rough. have it on my 07 ranger fx4. i can take pics and send them to who ever wants to see it. covers about 6'' up from bottom of hood. look better then those ugly black bars.

yes.

3m makes it. its a clear thin protection, you can put it anywhere on your truck to keep the chips down.

$200 plus!!!

I was thinking more along the lines of like $70-$100. That is just ridiculous.

I personally do not like them because you end up seeing ti anyways. After a short amount of time, the ones I have seen get tacky and begin to attract dust. Seems really expensive to me for a product that is not super great IMO.

$200 1 time.. keeps you from having to respray your hood every 1-2 years, touch up rock chips, of which can cause bubbling in the paint if you dont catch them early enough. I say it's worth it in the long run. My ranger had a chip or two, that started bubbling and paint ended up flaking off.. and my car is doing the same. oh and i dont tailgate!

Nah Jake, they're pricey for what you get, but it's like your Line X... you get what you paid for. Mines also got the clear bra on the corners of the bed between the cab and the bed to protect it there as well from rock chips.

Jake tore his last weekend. That is a lot of flow out the window. At least its in a spot that is not very noticable

For those thinking about putting this on yourself. Its not as easy as it sounds.

If your really good at window tint then do it.

A friend got a car done for 250 by an installer. Bumper, hood, and some of the fenders/rockers.
