Cold weather, plug the truck in?

I just noticed my new truck has one when I got my build sheet from ford. I have the "Cold Weather Package". Does that mean I got the battery heater too? It'll be nice on those blistery cold 20 degree days we get less than 20 times a year down here

It's hard to say. The 08 Dealer Ordering Guide only mentions a block heater for the 41H Cold Weather option. i remember that earlier years said there was a block heater and a battery warmer. The block heater should give you interior heat a little sooner at the cost of some house current. The battery warmer wouldn't help you in NC anyway.
