It's all in what you want to do with it. A 2wd will not go as far as a 4wd when offroading. If you want to do some light offroading then go for it. It's up to you.

You can keep posting(use the quick reply box) in the same thread if it's on the same topic. It all depends on what you want and what kind of off-roading you do. If you just want a lift for looks and to fit bigger tires then you would want a body lift(about $200) If you want more clearance then you will want a suspension lift which will cost more than a body lift. Whether or not it's worth it is all up to you. My truck is 2wd and it's worth it to me to lift it. I just don't have the money to do it.

between $1000 and $3000 (depending on the model and if your doing it yourself, or having a pro install it)

You dont have any specs on your truck. Have you not looked on the internet for different prices? What do you want to do with it?

whats wrong with beating the living **** out of a truck? lol.

Hey...to the original poster......how about some info on your truck! You gotta tell us about your rig man....create a signature.

What everybody else says...what do you want to do with your truck? There's more than a couple lift options for 2wd's....basic spacer lifts all the way up to Camburg long travels kits.
