Cost to have power package (Doors, locks, windows) installed aftermarket?

How much would it cost to install what ford considers the "power package" at an aftermarket location? Dealership wants $800ish. I would like a place in between dealership status and whole in the wall status (maybe a circuit city)?

Anyone have any ideas on what I'm looking at price wise for a 2006?

Power doors? You can get autoloc kits for power windows and locks. They are a little more expensive than others, but they are built tough. If you want to go a little cheaper, Protocol makes good products, just a no name right now. They are all over ebay. You could do it yourself for only a couple of hundred bucks.

A1 Electric makes a good power lock/keyless kit (its a central lock system, locks/unlocks automatically with the ignition, has dome/horn outputs.. all that good stuff) I got mine for $99, I also bought their power window regulators ($200)- but they are a direct bolt in for the Rangers, no cheapy pulley system or anything that just attaches to the current window crank, like a lot of items on ebay.

Thanks for the replies, appreciate it.

Anyone know of a shop/store that does these kind of things? Circuit city only does power locks, not the windows. I may end up purchasing the equipment myself but I would like to budget in labor, just in case.

yeah i actually had cartoys install my locks.. the instructions were kinda tedeous so i said "what the hell" and decided to get em installed by somebody else.. i think it ran me $120 or so just to install it. Just call around shops and ask if they install power locks and for how much, that'll kinda give you an idea on what to expect.. good luck!

Here are the A1 Electric Power Window Regulators. They've been great so far, they're quick and pretty QUIET. You'll also need to get a switch kit, I went with factory switches but they require a more wiring and tinkering to get em to work, i just wanted everything to look factory.. but for the most part i'd recommend getting one of A1 Electric's switch kits, the light up, and will wire right into the regulators. Good luck man!

I know this is super old but started looking for a kit to do the windows... at 200 it's not bad, but how involved was it to do it with the factory switches? I found some things on ebay via factory panel and switches for about 30 bucks so it would look factory... Just wondering what is needed to make it work.

Thanks,
-Nigel
