Craziest Ranger Engine swap?

My buddy is on this forum all the time...

but after recently watchin the new fast and the furious movie and seeing that mustang get the rb26 in it, Me being bored at work now, i was just thinking whats the nastiest engine swap anyone has done on here??

cause i was thinkin putting a nissan sr20 into a street ranger would be sick.

Its all about money. You have enough money and you can do any swap you want.
I think the craziest you will see on here is a 351 w/ supercharger.

460 is craziest. 4.9 would be prettycrazy too

Ummm...no...not on this forum, mostly just Ford engines, like 5.0 and such

there would be no gains from asian motors. First, they'd be a ***** to hook in. Basically you'd end up with a ranger body on an asian frame/suspension.

Also, most of those car engines are high rpm and low torque. Our trucks have lotsa weight to move.

Umm no. Just in movies. That is way too much money involved in that kind of project for the shade tree mechanic.

I think you would have better luck with an RX7 motor, find a nice TT motor.

7.3L turbo deisel once you get over the $15000 engine cost getting it in would be hell....

those are some nice tittays!

By the way, if I had a crapload of money I'd definately go Mercedes AMG engine. 10K for the engine alone, 550 NA horsepower, 600 Torque. Strongest production engine for a car.

I'd use a CAT C7

7.2L 441ci
350hp @ 2400rpm
860ft-lb @ 1440rpm

Wieghs a little too much, oh well.

yah i looked it up, 06 jeep liberty has a diesel. Jus swap it into a wrangler
