Crazy Thought I Might Do...
Ok, so my friend has a 99 Ranger, exact same as mine minus the color and that his is a 4 door. His is body lifted on 33's, something I'm planning on doing. But he's selling his Ranger because his tranny lost reverse. So I had the crazy thought of buying it, fixing the transmission, swapping all my stuff over to it and vice versa, then selling my current one. Good idea or no?
Man do I not miss those days. Though my insurance was for a 96 mustang gt. Now that I am 25 I am paying about 60-70.
hmmmmm. just fix your truck up... body lift installed is only 500-600 bucks or so, then 1000 wheels and tires... so 1500 bucks and your mechanically sound truck is in the same height and tires and only 1500 bucks.
Wow i am lucky! Im 20 and i pay 76 per month with 4x4 in Cal without a co-signer parent... minimum coverage. I was thinking about upgrading it to full and then finding a tree to hit haha!
And yea if you can swing it why not that would be a fun project

Why pay someone to install a BL? That defeats the purpose of doing a BL. BL is the cheap lift. If he is going to pay someone to do it may as well do spindles/shackles instead(pretty sure he is 2wd). I dont think the fact his buddies is lifted with tires is the only reason for him getting it. His buddies truck has 4doors and I am guesing his has 2doors. That alone would be worth it. I wish mine had 4 doors.
How does it feel being raped in the ***?
I pay $450 every 6mo. At 16 I was paying $500 every 6mo. Another year with out a claim and I could total the truck and State Farm wouldn't have lost a penny since my truck is only worth ~4800.
