D/s CV axle won't install

Ok so the passenger side cv axle went in fine but can't get the driver side for the life of me.. I read post's about a clip, well there isn't a clip on the inboard of my old nor my new cv axle.. I took a flashlight and scribe and don't see a clip in the differential either... This is a 98 4x4 4.0 6cyl, and the 1 thing holding up my suspension lift

Your old CV and your new CV should have a clip at the end of the inner splines. I've seen in the past where you must reuse the old clip on the new CV. If you can't get the CV to slide in by wiggling and rotating you may have to drop the differential, pull the cover and check for obstructions.

Make sure the new one is the same length. I had the same issue with a brand new one from O'Reily's once. Turned out to be just a bit longer than stock.
