DFPS?
Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor. It outputs a voltage that represents a pressure differential across a fixed orifice in the EGR tube. This voltage is used by the PCM to judge whether actual EGR flow is tracking commanded flow - an OBDII requirement. The DPFE is a high failure rate part but you should also inspect the hoses leading too it because they tend to harden, crack and leak over time.
Yeah I took my truck in because the CEL is on. They said that the DPFE needs to be replaced. Just never heard of it and it sounded a little off to me. so I wanted to make sure it was real and maybe if I can do it my self.
Would this be something I'm looking for?

Yes you can do it yourself.
Use the search button at the top of the pane for it as there are posts that have pics to make it easier to find.
You'll spend more time finding the pics than you will the actual part.
