I've herd legend of a "powerdome hood" but nobody has ever said how to really identify one. I saw this hood at the junkyard and it was in pretty good shape so I grabbed it, I mean powerdome or not it makes my truck look nicer, still need to change the grill out but thats for another day.

Anyway, heres the truck I grabbed it off of. Was a 01' I believe but I forgot to snap a pic of that info.

Anyway, all I know about powedome hoods is they come from 01-03 and are fiberglass. This one meets those qualifications but I think actual powerdome's are thicker?

 

That's a power dome hood. They came on almost all 01-03 4x4 rangers. Nice grab

 

So where do I find a proper grill to go with this bad boy? Will any honeycomb grill work or do I need a specific one?

This one work? I need white though.

 

Not sure its fiberglass. I have an 09 4.0 4x4 and that damn hood is heavy

 

The grille needs to be for a 2001-2003 4x4 or Edge package Ranger. It will be the honeycomb one.

 

Can it be purchased aftermarket or are they hard to come by OE only?

 

You can get them aftermarket. The hood is the hard part. lol.
