Putting my truck up FS...Help me with the price?

Well, the time has come for the Ranger to go..It's a 1997 2.3L 4-Banger, 5-spd. Heat works great, but no A/C. 117,xxx miles...Black in color, as you can see in the pictures. It's got custom dual exhaust, an airbrushed rollpan, brand new tires (less than 2,000 mi), washed and waxed at least once/wk..Paint looks great for 10 years old. All wired up for a system, and I'm leaving my Sony XPLOD head unit in there as well. It's got a new battery and alternator as well. Take a look at the pics, and help me with a price tag..It's obviously going to be "negotiated" by a buyer, but I just need a general area..

Ignore the water streaks..Too lazy to wipe it off, just showing the paint looks good..

maybe 4500. Its an 11 year old single cab 4cyl so its pretty generic. Roll pan and exhaust wont add any value and might decrease the value to some people so thats my price including 15% to bargain with

honestly I wouldn't expect more then 3k for it. The truck looks great but it's as small and simple as ranger's come.

I like the roll pan. I'd guess most at $3500, but check kbb.com.

Kbb as good condition would be $2,085 Private Party..

try craigslist and check your local listings for comparisons..

though thats if you lived in texas! though no a/c in texas would be a bad idea in the summer..

KBB is a pretty good source that will get you into the "neighborhood" so to speak.

I went there and if that were selling in my area.... $1200 wholesale (trade in allowance) and it would retail for $2900 at a used car lot.

IMO you'd be doing reasonably well to sell it for $2500

I would tend to disagree a little, IMO there's less of a market out there for a vehicle without A/C, at least in the Ohio area where it can get pretty hot and humid in the summertime. (Assuming Corey offers it for sale locally).

Some listings on auto trader show it may bring from $3000 to $4000. Ask $4000 but be sure to say, $4000 or best offer other wise they will say thanks and hang up. If you really want to sell it ask $3000.

If your not in a hurry to sell it play with the price. Start where you are and go down $500 each time you start asking again.
