Do you let people smoke in your truck?
As the title states, I DON'T smoke at all, but some of my friends always ask me if they mind if i let them smoke in it. I tell them it's okay as long as they role the window down. This works somewhat but it always smells like ciggerettes in there for a day or two after then it goes away. Should I start saying no? I hate the smell of ciggerettes but it doesn't bother me if the window is down to much. My truck doesn't smell like smoke right now but as I said only for a day or so after people smoke in it. What do you all do?

Do they roll it down all the way or a couple inches?
I smoke (in the quitting process haven't had one in 3 weeks now woo hoo!) but I always used to have my windows all the way down. Even in the cold of winter. And an air freshener helps a little.

I tell them to put it down half way, and I do have a freshener in there right now so that helps. I just can't stand the smell of butts anymore. I just wanted some opinions from other people on what you say? Also I role down my window at the same time.. This is only sometimes though it's not smoked in much..
I have before, the rules are the window has to be down and the cig never enters the truck. If they still want to smoke after that its fine, I've never had a problem with smoke smell doing it that way.
Yeah I mean I don't have a problem with the smell inside the truck the fabric smells fine, I just personally can't stand it anymore. I tell them to roll it down but the butt is still kinda in the truck, must mostly near the window.
yeah, as long as their careful they dont burn anything, I smoke so I dont mind much.
My old truck my best friend would get so drunk and if i had to pick him up he would smoke and I had a couple burn marks on my vent visors lol.

I have burned the capret on the side of the seat by the door on accident, wasnt happy about it in my new truck but theres other things to worry about in life. I didnt smoke in my new truck for a year
Yeah thats true, my truck is just new so you know what I mean.. don't want it smelling like ****,or ruined, but it doesn't so I guess I shouldn't complain. Carpet cleaner and air freshener ftw.
I smoke alot in my truck, but you could never tell it was a smokers truck
Yeah I can totally tell the difference between a smokers vehicle and mine, ha. I guess i'm cool with it once in a while.. I keep it pretty clean and fresh in there so whatever.... I guess it isn't to big of a deal.
I was a smoker up until a few weeks ago as well. I dont want anyone smoking in my truck anymore, it's not because of the temptation or anything. It leaves everything smelling like smoke, leaves a residue on the windows, get into the HVAC ducts, and eventually is really hard to get out. Even with the windows down, the odors are still clinging to any fabric, foam or plastic in the truck. It's personal opinion though, so your choice.
I let my friends smoke in my vehicles before. I've never had a problem until recently. My SVT had obviously been smoked in before I bought it. I shampooed everything I could, even the headliner. Well, a few weeks ago I found a cig-butt burnt halfway into my seat, on the seam where the leather and the red cloth insert comes together on the backseat, of my effin SVT! I was pissed. He has lost all privileges.
It just pisses me off since I let them smoke one, then like 20 mins later they whip out another, its like wtf you just had one stop making my truck smell like azz. I'm probably going to start saying no. At least people respect it and ask me first..
No body has ever asked me to eat in my truck haha. I don't eat in my truck it just makes a mess even when you are being carefull. I keep my truck clean but just don't really want it being smoked in anymore. It's only been smoked in probably a few times anyways..
NEVER NEVER NEVER.... my Silver truck and my black truck was Chain Smoked in....
Both i spent over a week. I took apart EVERY panel in the truck took the headliner out even washed every panel front and back with simple green washed all the metal panels
then the carpet and seats i took out and apart and steam clean all of them and sprayed with fabree's also steam clean the head liner. took apart most of the dash and washed out all the Hvac vents...
you would be suprised where cig ash gets too...
neither truck smells of smoke anymore
