Do You Think It's Possible
Do You Think It's Possible
To sell my truck for $12,500? It's a 2006 Sport 2WD supercab with 23,500 miles and in excellent condition. It also just got brand new tires and factory alloy wheels and has a fiberglass tonneau and is also under factory warranty until April 2009.
I currently owe $14500 on it and realize I won't get close to that which is why I would be willing to sell it for $2000 under what I owe.
I have to sell it because I am moving to Colorado with my wife for the first time living on my own and will need to drop my truck payment in order to pay for an apartment.
Do you think that would be a reasonable price to sell at, even with the economy being how it is right now?

i think its plenty possible... as a matter fact im nearly 100% sure you an sell it for that ive been searching for rangers everywhere and an 06 with 26k miles in excellent condition... for sure man ive seen plenty of them for over 13k even.. not saying ive seen any sold but ive seen over 40 in person for a higher price then that. no its not a deal but itll work type it in KBB.com and see what its worth

went throught he trouble for you option may not be right but i choose the cheaper ones 2 d 3.0 ect just in case so it may even be worth more.

I would say yes. A stealership if they bought that from you would sell it for probably 13,000. Not saying anyone would buy it for that but I don't think thats outrageous.
Shoot a stealership by me had a 2000 ranger xlt with like 33,000 and they wanted what you want for yours. YA RIGHT!!!!!!

carmax
if theres a carmax or a drivers world near u take it to them and see what they offer u....... they buy yours but you dont gotta buy theirs ! its great......its how i sold my 03 f150 i was asking 18,500 for it and they gave me 17000 cash ...............made me happy ha
Just an update. I took my truck in to Carmax for an appraisal and they said my it is rare to see a vehicle in such good condition as mine and that it would help with my offer. They offered me $9500 for my truck. I made the mistake of not telling them I may want to finance one of there vehicles which might have gotten me a better offer. Damn economy!
I say no, I had a Loaded level II that I started selling for what everyone here said was a good price and I had to drop it to 11,000 before it sold. This was a low mileage two year old truck with a $1600 and I had a tough time getting 11K for it. If I had a year or two to sell it somebody would buy it for more, but I had three months to get rid of it.

yea, i'd vote no. it's only 2wd, no power options and a 3.0L. a person could find a much more loaded truck for that kind of money. i'm not saying that you beat on it or didn't take care of it. but there are "better" trucks out there for that price. as for carmax and drivers world, they are gonna give you the least amount for it so they can sell it for the most. that's the way it is and that's the way it will always be.
good luck. there is no way you can bring it with you?
another option is trying one of those leasing sites. the ones that you can list your lease because you wanna get out of it. i'm guessing you own your truck. see what your dealer can do for you. maybe take the truck back for something cheaper.

yup.
why waste the money on getting rid of it? youre not gonna get what its "really" worth to you. Wait a few years, get it paid off, THEN get rid of it.

why not take it to a dealer and trade it in on something and not have a car payment anymore just a thought
like a 98 ranger 4wd since your moving to a snowy state just my idea atleast your payment will be a ton lower than what it is now.
