Doing the auto up/down window mod, need help

Okay, i was helping my friend do to the auto up on his passenger door in his ranger. We did all wiring per John griggs page, but there is one problem. The auto up works but it stops halfway. If the window is all the way down, it will go up auto but stop halfway, then you press it again and it will go all the way up with no problem. Im a litle stumped, maybe someone has some advice.

Sounds like a bad module. Like its overheating and shutting down. You have another module you could plug in and check it.

The modules shut off based on current draw. It's either the module, the motor, or the window mechanism is "seizing" a bit at the halfway point.

If it's seizing, then taking the liner off and lubing the mechanism might help -- or the window channels (what the edge of the window slides up and down in) are dirty or out of adjustment.
