Door chime disconnect

A friend has a 95 Ranger...4 cyl...stick. He says the chimes(any and all) are really annoying him and wants to know how to disconnect them. Can anyone help with this?

cut the wire, it under the dash somewhere. Although you wont know if you left your lights on. I dont think the seatbelt chimed back in 95

He said he's willing to pay to have it disconnected. I know it's wrong and foolish but he really hates it. He wears a hearing aid;maybe that's why it seems so harsh to him.

What's kind of ironic is that I just paid over $100 for a harness to replace my stock radio with a Pioneer deck. It has the chime electronics incorporated into it (03 and newer appl) . The older conversion harness was only about $25.

Thanks for the replies so far.

I think he wants anything that'll activate them to be disconnected.

I guess I should've not included the word "door" in the thread title.
