electrical problems

we have a 2007 Ranger 4x4 4.0 , back last spring we lost the keys ,so the truck sat all summer in the fall we finally had new keys cut and programmed . well since then , the wipers , fog lights, power windows stopped working ??? been using it off an on since , every once in a while all the problems are gone . one day they do work ,the next day they don't , but more often than not they don't work … strange , no?
bad ground ?

Welcome to the forum

Unfortunately all of those systems are operated by the Smart Junction Box(SJB), the Body Computer
SJB is located behind the passenger kick panel, cab fuse box is part of it

Not sure if Ford can test the SJB, and if so how much it would cost

I would do this, unhook battery cable
Unplug each wiring harness connector on SJB and look at the connections for corrosion, then plug back in
It could be you just have a bad/intermittent connection, and this would be the place it would be most likely

Picture of it here, it looks intimidating but its just wiring, lol: https://therangerstation.com/Magazin...9/flm/flm1.jpg

If it sat for awhile, there is also the chance of mice.... either chewing, or pissing on the wires and corroding them
