So with my ranger (03, 3.0, 47k, 4:56 gears with 35's, auto tranny) how long can I expect it too last? I am turning 20 in August, so either truck I chose I need to last at least 5-7 years, until I am out of college and have astable job to get a different rig.

Tell ya what man - if you are worried about the drive - pick up a $500 honda civic, little 1.3liter manual - and youll never complain about gas.. and the engines last forever - keep your ranger, that f150 looks ugly as all getup.

I am not worried about gas mileage. Im just trying to figure out which truck will suit me better for the next 5 or so years of my life, and cost the least amount.
