I wouldn't your truck is newer and probably more reliable. If it's your only mode of transportation I would keep your 99 if it runs good.

I wouldn't do it. It might have a newer engine with less miles now. But the rest of that truck has all the miles and abuse, and wear and tear of 6 more years than yours does. Not to mention your truck just looks better. I'd wait and maybe sell your truck, and find another one like yours that's 4x4 and extended cab. Don't trade down.

ya i wouldnt either. but get some more pics for us on saturday.. definitely go take a look at it. its hte same year as my truck. their not that bad of trucks actually mine has 261,600kms on it and its still running strong. i've replaced the starter, water pump, slave cyl, and soon to be heater core and now possibly a head gasket.

since its lifted and most likely been off the pavement its gonna need some new parts, the only way i'd trade is if the tires have like 90% tread nothing clunks, no rattles in the engine, new bushings, axle shaft u-joints, the leaf springs are fine and not sagging like mine. and he's gone through the under side, new wheel bearings etc.. i paid $6100 for mine down in Abbotsford with 233,800kms on it 2.5 years ago.

the most important part is that it most likely has the electronic push button 4wd which sucks ***.. i friggin hate it. the stupid thing doesnt work when you need it to, like in the middle of winter and your all over the road and you mash the button about 25 times before it works (IF it actually does) in the next year.

never trade your daily driver in on something that is older, the motor might be good but other parts can be bad or going bad

yeah man, trade is done!!
traded my clunker for a wicked project :P everything about the truck was an upgrade, 4.0<3.0, ext cab>regular cab, 4x4>2wd, lifted>non lifted, ac>no ac.
plus it came with a set of extra 33's :)
