FL-820S OIL FILTER

Noticed this at work today. i didnt say anything to anyone to ask why. I was wondering if this is new or old news. thew FL820S is now smaller. no clue why and what may be diffrent. figured i'd say something here.

I think that was done about 2 years ago, right after I got my 150 if I remember correctly.

i did a fleet of rangers today for Fios 23 rangers. oil changes and rotations. half way through i noticed that the sizes were different. never did so many oil changes on the same vehicle in a row.

they made them shorter. my FL 400s is smaller now too

They've been shorter than before for at least 1 1/2 years. If you want a filter that looks like the same length as before, Wix makes an 820S filter that is longer than the Motorcraft filter.
