Flowmaster Muffler.
Flowmaster Muffler.
Hey y'all, I'm looking into buying a Flowmaster Muffler for my 2005 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0L RWD Automatic. I'm not sure what size of inlet and outlet I need. I don't know if its 2.25 or 2.0. I also want to get a loudest one as possible lol. Anyone recommend good one?
When I had the 4.0 I like to say I had a series 40 - as far as inlet/outlet. just measure what you have now so you can know exactly what size.
If you want loud just cut it all off and drive.

I think the smallest chambered flowmaster diameter size you can get is 2.5". That's fine as muffler shops will weld on a reducer down to the 2.25" stock piping. If your keeping the stock tailpipe, youll probably be better off getting offset design on both ends so it matches up.
The loudest chambered Flowmaster is the Super 10, next loudest is the original 40 series. Than the Super 40, Super 44 which have more baffles to minimize the drone.
Flowmaster also make a single inlet and dual outlet so you can run dual tailpipes. These Rangers sound real good with both the 3.0 and 4.0.
