2 Mistakes! you used the word flowmaster and "i dont want drone" in the same sentence. if you dont want drone dont get a flowmaster. i would go with a straight thru muffler like magnaflow.

How about a Gibson cat back, or the new Dynomax VT? I'm looking for a not-so-loud performance exhaust system myself and am considering these.

Magnaflow sounds like a$$ on anything thats not 8 cylinders or more. Put a 50 series flowmaster on there and don't look back

Flowmaster should be fine. I had a super 44 and it was too QUITE for my liking. Now I've got a glasspack setup and it has a nice loud growl. When I had the flowmaster it had a slight highway drone, but it really wasn't bad. You could still talk to people easily and hear the radio without cranking it up much.

I have a Flowmaster 40 SI/SO welded in the stock location. I only get a noticable drone at about 2500RPMs in second gear when I'm cruising at about 20MPH. Other than that, it sounds great. Nice deep grumble that sounds just right in the cab.

Some people that ride in my truck have trouble believing it's only a V6.
