Fog light issues

well, not the actual fogs, but I had my hella offroad lights hooked up to my fog light wires, so I could use my stock fog switch.

They all of a sudden stopped working..

the light on the dash still lights up when i turn them on, but nothing up front..

ideas??

Are you running the stock 55W bulbs? When I upgraded to 100W I burned the power wire out

Did you check the fuse and relay?

Fuse would be my guess. Probably over powered it and it popped.

I have to agree, it sounds like a wire melted somewhere in between. Probably best to upgrade to something beefier to handle those lights. The stock wiring is pretty boney.

the switch is probably a relay, maybe the wires just run from the lights to the fuse box?

I didnt even bother looking for the burnt wire, I just replaced the power wire with 14 gauge and it was fixed. Didn't even bother with the ground wire

Set them on a relay on your brights. Bigger wires from bat to relay and from relay to the lights.
