Fords new 3.7liter V6 makes small block v8 power
Anyone read about fords new 3,7 liter v6 in motor trend last month? Its supposed to be a kick *** engine... 300hp, 280lb of torque... and, the next big question, will it fit into the ranger? such as a 'drop in and go'?
That would be one upgrade, i myself would seriously consider.

The 2011 v6 mustang will be the first 300+ hp car to get 30+ mpg. the down side (I'm just speculating) is another 30 to add into it. Which is price. I bet it ends up being $30,000 or close to it (decently equipped).
They have released the pricing. I'll try to find it.
you talking about ecoboost?
i'm pretty sure all of its current applications are latitudinal and it would take some modding to make it longitudinal for a ranger. but it has been done already, i think it was in lst months HOT ROD magazine? maybe this months

Sad part is the "little" 2.0 I4 EcoBoost is said to be making 230 hp and 240 torque. More than my 4.0 V6....
The pricing for the new Mustang...
The 305-hp Mustang V6 starts at $22,995, while the 5.0-badged 412-hp Mustang GT starts at $30,495, with the V8 premium GT starting at $33,695. That's some pretty potent bang for your buck, especially as both prices include destination charges. Consider that the 304-hp V6 Camaro starts at $23,530, a difference of $535. Of course, that's for the 2010 Camaro, as Chevy has yet to release Camaro pricing for 2011.
Naww revamped Ranger is all I4 diesel.

haha fair enough but this 3.7l could do very well in a ranger and is more than enough power realistically. It won't surprise me at all if this is in the next ranger but I'm having feelings that it will be one ugly *** truck
those prices are reasonable if they stick. i remember when the mini cooper came out. they advertised a starting price of $21, but $28 was the cheapest anyone had in stock. This wasn't dealer added profit, it was the options added.
