four door ranger

i want to know what people think of the 4 door ranger. is it a good truck or not

08XLT4x4 04-26-2008 03:36 AM

Best in its class! Of course nobody makes a truely "small" pickup anymore so theres not much competition either. I like the 4 doors. Makes the back so much more useful.

ns_red7 04-26-2008 04:51 AM

It's nice to not have to reach around the seats etc to get into the back for your stuff. I'm not a fan of four regular sized doors on a truck but the suicide doors are awesome.

mcpink 04-26-2008 07:04 AM

Mines been great, and the extra doors really do make it easy to get stuff in and out of the back without having to move the seats.

Machine090767 04-26-2008 08:18 AM

four doors is the way to go.

RangerExtreme 04-26-2008 09:08 AM

Yeahhhh Boy! haha i love me more storage...doesn't replace a tool box but it does the trick.

Doesn't stop me from wanting one though...

country346 04-26-2008 07:57 PM

You cant get one here , I dont even think it can be imported Im pretty sure more than a few people in this forum tried at one time or another .

t_schloesser 04-26-2008 08:00 PM

maybe you could import it one peice at a time. depends on how desperate you are to get one.

or put nissan frontier emblems on it. boarder control would never know!

5speedin2.3 04-26-2008 08:05 PM

i don't see why you couldn't import one, it would just be super expensive.

not worth it imo, i would rather get the diesel engine and ecu out of one and have it shipped over.

Rangerguy 04-26-2008 09:05 PM

Its great having 4 doors, I can load unload my gear quick and easy. Its easier to clean out too! If you're loading up something that a bit big or awkward sized and don't wanna put it in the bed its great for that too. I bought a new computer chair recently. It was in a big ole box. I didn't wanna put it in the bed cause I had a few more stops to make, so I opened both passenger doors, folded the seat down and voila ~ it went in real easy~came out real easy too.

zabeard 04-26-2008 09:17 PM

I just want the cab, I am sure I can make it work on my frame.

Thats an awesome Idea , then you could flat bed it (if thats your thing ) thats what I would do .

jtslmn720 04-26-2008 09:39 PM

booo buy an American made truck...

i think theyre alright, id rather have a crewcab f150 instead of that though, just seems like a waste

excuse me while i clean off the keyboard

04blackedge 04-26-2008 11:51 PM

Yeah me too that one was messy. The problem is importing them its getting them registered and passing inspection and all that stuff.

KentuckyRanger 04-27-2008 02:13 AM

The back seat looks surprisingly roomy. I figured there would be no leg room in the back.

zabeard 04-27-2008 11:15 AM

stick that cab on a normal extended cab ranger frame and insure it as an extended cab. no one will notice the difference.

inspection should not be much different.

k.blakeley 04-27-2008 11:47 AM

Why oh why do they not sell them in America?
