so i drive from work to where my parents were camping for the long weekend (6-7 hour drive) and i just get into town and i hear a loud grinding, screaching, scraping sound coming from the front end. im figuring its my axle shaft u-joints so im wondering how hard are these to change out?? im ordering the u-joints on tuesday will be able to swap them out on thursday or friday night. do i have to pull the whole axle shaft out??

also this week im swapping out a truck bed (bought another one thats nicer its off of a 98' ranger so im rolling around with 98' tails), doing an oil change and changing out the water in the rad to coolant.

 

nobody knows how to take these things off???

 

well apparently they are not too bad, new some new wheel bearings and brake pads, got the bed off tonight also so we should be able to finish it up tomorrow night.
