front-end squeaking

We just had the first sub 20 degree day here in southern MI and all of a sudden I have some loud squeaking going on in my front passenger side. I hear it whenever I go over a bump and not around turns. It had 47000 miles so could it be a shock? I looked at another thread and most people said ball joints and control arms. some of them were saying they were spending close to $1000 to fix it so im praying its just my shock. please help.

could be one of the many bushings on the front end...hit all of them with some white lithium grease and see what happens

Could be anything in the front end. Jack it up and take a look.

I agree with DJ. Spray all the joints and links, even the outside of the ball joints. I did this on my 02 and the original suspension went to 185k miles.

mine squeaked, the upper ball joints were basically gone and the bushings were just about as bad.
