I have a 2003 Super Cab XLT 4.0L. Once the check gauge lit comes on how many miles do you generally have till your tank is completely empty?

 

well u have a 19.5 gallon tank, and the reserve tank is ABOUT 3 gallons. it comes on at random points around 2-4 gallons left based on angle of truck in my experience. i woulnt go more than 35 miles or so when it comes on and stays on.

 

well my truck the light come on before the needle actually hits the empty mark but once it's on the empty line i went about 60more miles before it shut off, either way if the light is on get gas,my mom's 04 expo can only go about 10 miles after the light comes on

 

hmm i go about 25 miles tops myself.

 

it all depends because ford gas gauges suck to begin with
