What year did Ford start fuel injection on the ranger? Anybody know by chance what year they started on the s-10?

Yes I know I could google it, but I dont feel like looking through 15 pages and only finding a **** site.

 

I believe it was '86 that they went from the 2.8 to the Fuel injected 2.9

 

I really want to get an old ranger in nice condition and convert it to propane. Just for the fun of it. My uncle used to own 2 propane vehicles and he has converted many more. All I know is I need a engine thats not fuel injected.

 

Like I said I wasnt positive. My 85 had the 2.8 an my 87's had the 2.9
