do the stubborn thing thats up to you...
you never saw my f-150 that i restored spent way to much money then oh ya.. it got t-boned..
its not worth it.. your truck is old and tired.. no way around it.. when was the last time you pulled apart the TTB and checked it... i know for a fact its over $500 to repair... its just not a good truck to "restore" there is better things out there then that

thats not the point, he could spend 1400 and then have his truck nice again all paid off. not life being a *****, its call being smart with money, you sound like the type of person that would get a mortgage they couldnt afford also then ***** when the sheriff serves you with papers

THOSE quotes are actually reasonable. I'd figure they'd put on new bedsides, spray, blend, fix the other little things. done.
When i was rear ended, her insurance company cut me a check for 1800(bumper, brackets, bumper cover, hitch, paint, blend-in). Want to know what I did....spent $125 on a junkyard bumper w/ brackets and called it good.
I vote keep the cash, find a bed, get it sprayed if needed, and call it good.

i would keep the cash and put it towards a lift and tires then you can tell the kid who hit you hes and idiot and thanks for the lift... better than punching him and a much better affect in my mind. every time he sees your truck he will know and the dent will stare him in the eyes... pissing him off... haha i would keep the money do something with it that you can show off in that guys face...
that would be awesome, lifts for your ranger are pretty cheap to i hear...

I have had your attitude.. and over $18,000+ later on a truck that i dont own anymore figured i would give someone else something i learned...
and to the other guys that said 350 payment on a new truck... who said it has to be new? sold my money pit got a better truck with the money i sold it for finance less then half of it.. and had payments under $150 a month decided to pay it off in 3 months instead..
