Garmin GPS mounting

dont flame me. I got my windshield tinted 35% the entire thing. Why? because my eyes are photosensitive. I was young and stupid and didnt wear a helmet welding. besides that stupid mistake. I need a place to mount my GPS other than the windshield or any windows. pics and ideas

Thanks dave

You could mount it on the dash.

Why can't you mount it on the windshield due to it being tinted? Will it pull the tint off or something?

well maybe the magellans were better because ours was awesome. it's like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Magellan-RoadM.../dp/B000196ENC

but i guess wouldnt work with a garmin. maybe you could modify the mount.

Damn, I was going to suggest this rear view mount, but it's for the smaller GPS units.

I would still try and find a way to make this, or a mount like this, work with your's. If not, then here is this site's mounts for the 750:

I've never used anything from them so I can't say if they are good or not, but they have some unique mounts.

i use a rubber sheet that you can put in the drawer. my suction cup doesn't seem to stay up and i now have my UG. so i fold the sheet over the top and bottom edge and wedge it between the glass and dash. stays pretty good and no suction ring for thieves

no hard at all. its really nice headlight dont bother me at all. and in the day like driving into the sun is like the best thing ever. i dont need sunglasses. i tried wearing some but it was kind of dark and pointless. at dawn and dusk it apears black but on the inside its perfectly clear

It does shake a little but all in all works fine and it's out of site. Use it every time I go to Carlisle or to parts of the state I haven't been to in a while.

Mine came with a metal disc that has a sticky side. The instructions indicate that it should be stuck to the dash, and the window mount stuck to the disc.

you could mount it like i did my droid in my F-150. the mount has a suction cup on it like the garmin mount but has a flat plastic disc that sticks to the dash with double sided tape to give a flat surface for the suction cub to stick. it works very well and is solid. been on there about 6 months and has never come off.
