I am looking at getting a Ranger. However I see that the gas cap doesn't lock. Can you put a locking gas cap on a Ca. model ?

Yes...I have a OEM locking cap on my 01 Ranger Edge Ford part# XU5Z-9030-HA

 

rangers have baffles in the tube also its not just a easy thing to get the tube down there

I agree with that gas prices are outragous (sp) locking cap is a good call.

 

Soooo, which is it Mr. Flip-flop on reason. Are you worried about people stealing the gas, or did you **** off some people that are going to pee in your tank. I think you slept w/ somebody's girlfriend and they want to f-up your truck. Please let us know which reason you're going to decide to stay firm on for you locking gas cap.

 

Zach is saying you cant siphon gas from the ranger tank... and if people want to steel it they would just cut the tank open any way.

 

Reasons were valid. Didn't know you couldn't siphon off the gas. So ltes keep the dirt out. I work at a high school and want insurance if get my drift.
