Locking gas cap for an 05

Any of you with an 05 have one? I was gonna get one a while ago but never did. The only place that says they have one for an 05 is www.fordaccessories.com but through my searches at other places they all said they don't make one for an 05 + ranger. Now I contacted fordaccessories a few times to see if the one they sold for an 05 actually fit but they never got back to me so I gave up. So if any of you have one and know where to get it please let me know. Thanks.

ford dealer I think they are 25 bucks... but honestly if someone wants gas they'll get it other ways...

*just speaking from experience, I had one and someone f'ed it up so when I got to the gas station I really needed gas and it took me almost 15 mins. to get it off...

I believe the fill tube (or whatever it's called) was changed in 05. I checked at the dealer and all parts stores as well and they didn't have them.

No. Very similar though. It doesn't screw in like that one does. It goes in and it's like a 1/4 turn than it locks in.

Just went to autozone today. They are the only ones that list one now. I looked at it and it is completely different from the one I need. Yours and the volkswagon are universal but they aren't able to match up a locking one with the stock one. Yours and the one in the picture above are different.

The picture I posted is of My truck 2005 Edge. The cap hanging down is the trucks gas cap. The one screwed on the truck is from the 2006 Volkswagen Beetle.

this one is listed at Autozone for a 2005 ford ranger locking Part # 5902 go back and ask for that one

I checked that one out at autozone and it will not work. Checked a few other places and they were just like the one at autozone. I went to napa today and they had one that works.
