Gas prices going down!

I think its funny because I drove by a gas station the other day and saw 87 for $2.59, 89 for $2.69, and 93 for $2.79. The funny thing is the first thing that popped in my head was "Hey that is pretty cheap!". But I also think it is sad when I see it at that price and think thats cheap!

Yep, and I'm playing on the margin baybee!

Although I too think it's pretty funny when I find gas under $3/gal and think it's a 'steal'! .. I even considered filling up the jerrycan! That's sad..

2.79 is the cheapest I've found near College Station. That's down 10 cents from last week.

I wish I was getting that for reinbursement. Only getting $0.32/mile out here in New Mexico. Been that way since Fall '03!!!

FWIW: We're seeing $2.89 here for 86-87 octane. Only stations selling 87 are Citgo (only station in the area and it's 8 miles north of town, also use to run 5-10 cents cheaper than in town), Phillips 66, and Diamond Shamrock. Everyone else is 86, 88/89, 92. I was all exceited and thought I was all badass when I got my new job, making slightly over $14/hr (damn good for NM as a college student w/o a bachelors yet). Once I graduate college this May I'm probably going to have to get a second job if things keep up. $30k a year for a single 24 y.o. male is going to be poor house with prices being so assinine. Eventually the cost of gas is going to have to trickle down to our lovely consumer goods. Supply and demand, fun stuff!

Okay, gas fell to like 2.59-2.89 in all your areas. Now the gas companys will watch us get excited. Then a couple weeks its going to jump to like $3.49 a gallon.

Then 2 months later it will fall to 3.09 and once again we will get excited. Then gas will jump to $3.89.

It goes on and on and thats whats been happening.

Remember how excited we were seeing $1.89. Look at us now. I wont be impressed until gas is under $1.75 a gallon
