If it is helpful to you, by all means use it. All I'm saying is not to expect some miracle savings. When someone says "find cheap gas", I don't think of one station being 3 cents or 10 cents less than the other. Cheap gas to me has to be A LOT less expensive to be classified as cheap. I guess my interpretation of cheap gas is a little more drastic than most people's so I find things like this to be pointless most of the time. If it helps you, by all means use it. I'm just looking at it differently.

Actually, quite to contrary. I stopped driving to work all together last week. I get out of bed 15 minutes earlier at 5:30am, ride my bike to the train station, take the train to the city, and ride my bike from the station to work. Believe me, lazziness is not a factor and I'm saving about $115 per month. Obviously I know not everyone can do that, but it at least shows I'm not wasting money due to laziness.

Not sure what you're talking about with the <2k thing?? But either way, you took it out context. I said by the time you drive to the other station to save a $1.70, you just burned an extra average $1.70 worth of gas and cancelled out any benefit.

Sorry I meant "under 2000 rpm thread". I guess it's how your town is set up though. For mine a lot of the gas stations are in the same area, and the ones downtown are all non self serve. I jus got a bike also myself.

I suppose the fact that they are all within a 1/4 mile of eachother except two on the outskirts helps keep them in check. One station can't be more without people seeing the cheaper place across the street.
