going back and forth on gearing decision
You have the special tools?
Driving style stayed the same. I have an OHV, but still...WTF!And yes...regearing is alot of money...I thought I'd get some of that back in fuel savings...nope
With the OHV and 4.56 gears on 33s, I'm not surprised. The OHV does not like to rev, it would have been better suited to 4.10s in my opinion.
The SOHC is a much different monster, it needs revs, it likes to rev.
Still, re-gearing to improve fuel economy almost never pencils out. Spending $1200+ to possibly get 1-2mpg back doesn't make a lot of sense. Do it for performance, not MPG. If you pick up some mileage, great. If not, at least it moves better!

generally a shop charges anywhere in between $550-$700. best bang for buck mod around tho

Nice man! Can you give me details on what you bought and how much the shop is charging ya? I'm planning this mod too..!
1300$ including them installing the gears, right? Cause otherwise expensive! I'm gonna try to get a shop to install the coilovers after they do the gears, it makes sense and also makes the lift reinstall much easier I would think.
