Gonna buy a new trailer for my truck to pull around

Saw this on craigslist tonight and have been wanting a trailer like this for a awhile. I saw Melts and it pushed me over the edge for finding one. I will try to get some of my own pics of the thing when I get it. I know it looks like a piece but I plan on cleaning it up and repainting it. It has a bed from a 67-72 ford just like my old truck. Oh ya, only paid $80 for it.

Not bad for the price. Go for it. You can always fix it up and sell it and make some money.

Oh, its nothing to clean this up. My truck that was like this bed was in worse shape than this thing. I know it looks redneck but I like it. My bed just isnt big enough for hauling much around and I dont want to invest in a full size yet.

To give ya an idea of my old truck like this

What are you going to tow it around for fun. You have a bed on your truck it might be a little small but it gets the job done.

As long as the coupler and frame welds look good and the springs and perches aren't rusted out it's probably not a bad deal.

No I am not going to tow it around for fun. Its more for when I need to run and get a big load of mulch or when I go camping with the buds. My truck does not have enough room in the bed at all for carrying all my stuff. We usually go camping for a lest 3-4 days and we like to burn alot of wood. My dads ext. cab F150 isnt big enough by itself.

Ya, I am going to really check it over good before i give her the cash for it. I probably will have my grandpa weld up some supports anyways to make it alittle stronger.

You might even be able to use the topper to lock it up, good security.

Thanks. So, what mods should I do to it? What kind of exhaust should I put on it? Do I need to SAS it? Maybe change out the power steering? Can you guys think of anything else?

Ok back to serious. Besides checking the rear diff fluid in it if it still has a rear diff (Could have changed axles), what else should I look at before I take it home? Air pressure, make sure the lights work, anything else?

You should defiantly lower it so that it sits somewhat lower then your truck. And it might not look so bad then. And paint it the same color red as your truck.

Ya.....I went and looked over real good this morning and decided against buying it. She did not have a title for it so that means it would be a ***** to get a title for it. Also, this thing has some good cancer on it.
