well today me and my dad went and looked at a nice Red 1999 ford ranger xlt 4 door 4x4 3.0 and we are gonna call the bank tomorrow to make sure we can get the loan and for only $6995 it isnt a bad deal. Runs and drives really good i am happy i will probably be in the ranger family.


Edit: I got there today and the guy took a $100 deposit and is gonna hold it till we get the money on monday since our bank is closed weekends. So as soon as i get her home i am gonna snap some pics and have my dad scan em while im at work so i can show everyone what she looks like.

I can't wait to see if i get it the only thing is...there is another guy looking to buy it and the guy told us its basically a first come first serve with the money thing and the guy will be there on sat. So we are gonna see if the loan goes all way if we can drop off a $500 deposit and go from there because we prolly cant get the money until next week.

That sounds like how it was when i got my truck... there was some guy there just before me trying to get the truck, he was at another desk making phone calls hoping someone could help him... but luckily for me, he couldn't get finaced... so she became mine :D

 

Well he is wanting to get it for his 16 year old grandson and he will be back sat but he said he wasnt sure if he could get the money or not by then cuz he only had some and said he would be back sat to drive it and all. So i am hoping that we can get the money either tomorrow by a miracle or get him to go with the $500 deposit.

 

For me it was kind of the opposite...several people were looking to buy the truck...I got to the dealer first and knowing the general manager kind of helped, so now the truck is mine.

Yeah that's the only thing that i was disappointed about was the 3.0 and not the 4.0, but hey you cant always get everything you want in a used vehicle.

Congrats on your new truck.. sounds like the same exact truck i was going to get a few months back, before i ended up with my 01. i went thru the same thing almost that you're goin thru. i went to get it financed, and had to then wait till the following thursday to get my paycheck to use as a downpayment.. well in between like those 4 days, the dealership sold the truck to someone else.. i was pissed.. then i found my truck that i have today at another dealer, and became happy again... any way, Congrats again.. have fun!
