A 92 4x2 Ranger xlt 3.0l 5spd reg cab. Gettin it for $1500. It's got new tranny, starter, tires, and batery. All that stuff there is more than $1500 alone, the guy just wants to get his money back from the tranny. Can't wait! I'll have before and after pics of the cleaning cause it needs cleaned an I'm gonna buff the paint cause it's either oxidised or faded. Any tips on what polish or wax to use when buffing?

 

meguires NXT is really good stuff for cleaning/waxing... and congrats on the new truck... you are getting the best year of the best generation of ranger built

Yeah, I'm 98% sure I'll be gettin it monday unless for some reason the guy isn't home. That's the time we decided on so I hope nothin comes up to where we can't get it. I'll be sure to get pics of it don't worry. I'm gonna spend a few days cleaning it up. Like the interior needs cleaned and the outside needs some TLC cause the paint is oxidized or somethin.

I have read that NXT doesn't last very long and you have to re-do it every month or 2 or every like 3 car washes...
What other stuff would you guys suggest on it?
Hopefully (i think it's this person) redneckstone should be along shortly and can tell me what I need to know about cleanin up the outside.

Oh, I forgot to add, how do you get water outta the headlights? Atleast one of them has some water in it.

 

congrats on getting a new truck i also have a 92 but extra cab 3.0 5 speed they are great trucks especially when lifted . for the headlights the stock ones are some sort of plastic i would get new ones that are glass and they arnt very expensive!!!!!

 

hey congrats man! I've had no issues with Meguiars NXT lasting a long time. If mind serves me right, it is a polymer based wax hence for it's durability characteristics. Just use a good car wash that is meant for car washing & spray detail the finish only if it's dusty and NXT will last a long time. I've haven't waxed my truck for a couple years now :( but i use it on my mom's 02 Grand Prix GT about every 6 months. Still beads like mad! Just leave Dawn in the kitchen.

Well, monday came early lol. Goit it earlier today, around 3pm. I was at work when my dad picked it up. I was suprised when I saw it. Tomorrow I'm gonna go get some NXT and a tach, cause it doesn't have one..... Might get my stereo installed tomorrow, got my moms old JVC cd player. I'll post pics tomorrow after school.

Had some time before school so I got some pics of it real fast. After school I'm goin to probably get somethin to clean up the outside. Also might get a tach since it doesn't have one....

They are bad shots cause my camera doesn't have a display, only a view finder and for some reason it doesn't get the shot I want, I don't think I'm holdin the camera straight or something.





And the dent in the back of the cab I'm gonna straighten out, any tips on doin it? Planned on usin a rubber mallet.

 

Sorry about the size, don't have time to resize them. Part of the reason it's as dirty as it is, is because the guy NEVER washed or waxed it. I guess he told my dad that yesterday.

 

Remember, I said it needs cleaned haha. That's gonna happen today after school.

Not a bad looking truck you got there a Nice wash and then wax/ buff job and it will look new and shampoo the interior and you will be set.

The paint's commin out fairly good. Got the hood done today with some old turtle wax rubbing compund. Got some miguires cleaning wax tonight, couldn't find nxt anywhere. Also got the interior cleaned up. I'll post more pics after I get it completely cleaned.
