Looking for some new rotors. Nothing slotted or drilled just a solid rotor. Was looking to go through Rockauto.com but if I can find good ones at a local store that works too. If you have had Motorcraft or Centric let me know those are the ones i'm looking now.

 

i have Bosch rotors. I painted the hub area satin dark metalic so you dont see the rust down the line. same with the top and sides

i have the centric rotors with the e coating. Paired them up with centric pads and I love them so far with about 5000 miles on them. Surprisingly I got the rotors from Amazon they were the cheapest by far compared to other suppliers.

 

If you want something solid go with Motorcraft. If you want drilled slotted I'd go with rotorpros. Been running them on all 5 of my pasted vehicles and love them. Even have them on the wifes car.

Can you feel a difference between the solid and slotted? I worry about cracking with the slotted.(too much reading on the google) I pull a trailer every once and awhile and can really feel the fade going down hills

 

try downshifting even though you are an auto. it'll help. otherwise you'll just be chewing up brakes or heating them up and glazing them.
i have greenstuff pads and rotors and noticed the difference in regards to brake fade. night and day. they weren't too pricy either. summit carries them.

 

I have ceramic breaks and regular duralast rotors with zero problems...mine have about 10k on them and are smooth as when i put em on

 

Compared to my stock rotors I notice a huge difference, but I also got ceramic pads at the same time I did the rotors.

When they wear out I just go get some new ones. Gotta love that warranty.

 

Motorcraft would come from the dealer, a local Motorcraft distributor or online like Rock Auto. Drilled and slotted are really nice. Got Summit Racing's units on my 93 4x4 along with Hawk HPS pads. Stops are unreal!

 

Green Stuff 7000's on the way. I'v wanted to try the Green Stuffs for a while but haven't had a reason. Well now I have a small squeak up front kind of a squeak (pause) squeak (pause) squeak (pause). Wear strip dragging? Whatever it is I figure why not new brakes

I think I'm going to go the Duralast route. 2 year warranty. . . .yes please.
