My ebrake cable has been loose as hell for about a month but a few days ago when i hit the brake regular brakes it would squeak really loud and go away, sometimes also squeaked when i let off the brake. Pulled the rear wheel off and drum cover off on the drivers side off and as soon as i pulled the cover a nice little surprise dropped out from the inside




ebrake cable snapped inside the drum housing and got wedged in when i hit the brakes each time.
will i replace it? um probably not lol

hmm maybe this is why mine are squeeking, ive had diff mechanics say stuff about the ebrake line and i just keep forgetting to replace it.

Yeah, I'd take a look. Its easy to pop the drum off. I just brought my truck to a friends house who's a ford tech just incase it was worse haha

That's your adjuster cable... why wouldn't you replace it? They're only a few bucks...

 

yeah i need to cut the **** and finish my axle and throw the stang stuff on it

Well im going to go with mustang discs on a completely different axle so i don't want to waste my time lol
