Goodbye Ranger

So I traded the ranger 2 days ago. I needed to get a car with decent mpg because i have to drive 140 miles a day for school for the next year. The dealer gave me 10k for my truck and I settled on this grandma grocery hauler.

Sorry for the cell pics, cant find my camera's cord.

Anyway its a 2007 audi a4 with 50k miles and i picked it up for 17k. So far I love it, Im not used to having anything that can handle like this and my area is loaded with worl famous canyons to take her on. Still alittle sad to see my truck go though.

17k for 50k miles seems like a lot, but that's what you get with an Audi. lol

Not far off from what my buddy paid on a 50k miles A3 a few years back. Personally I prefer to stick to the VW line since it is mostly the same and less expensive, but the audis are nice.
Does it have a standard automatic or a DSG trans?

Oh and if it is like every other VW/Audi, get a bigger rear sway bar, it will really tighten up the cornering. If you lower it, don't use just springs without new struts, it will get bouncy before long.

How much time do you waste writing gay **** like this all the time?

This part is pretty much true though. I prefer AWD or RWD for the most part, but there is nothing wrong with FWD. It still goes where you point it. If you are super aggressive and have the power to spin the tire, it just spins the inside tire a bit and keeps tracking along generally.

i disagree.. its the new gen and 17 is not bad considering with that trim it was probly a 32-35k car new.

i agree on fixing it... i have this rule of thumb with audi and vw's...after 5 years of age they fall apart..(this is why i have my volvo)

but yes, 1.5 or 2" drop and som wheels and youll be set!

How do you figure? It was a 2wd 3.0L V6 that was modified. He was lucky to get 10 from a dealer in my opinion.

Bunch of VW/Audi haters on this place. So guys, tell me what exactly "falls apart everywhere" after 5 years. Every car is going to have issues, Rangers are no different. Don't be ignorant.

Ya it isnt the s4 so its fwd. Its still pretty fun to drive but i didnt have much options on what car i could get so this is the best I could find.

Im way happy with getting 10k for my truck. It had lots if issues and a lot of miles. It just looked pretty so I was able to get alittle more.

As far as 17k thats pretty good for around here. I saw the same cars goin from 18-25k.

My plans are a performance suspension drop, 19" wheels and some tires. black out all the chrome trim and debage it. For engine im getting a turbo back exhaust kit and retuneing. Thats it for this month lol.

You dont have a problem with torque steer till you start doing alot of horsepower mods... And rwd cars have torque steer too.

Electrical systems, battery drains, shorts, relays. Ive seen a lot of 2000+ model VW with electrical problems, so I tend to stay away from VW/audi. If you like them and want to work on them, good for you....I personally like dealing with my simple ford.

Ive been in 400hp+ rwd cars and they have never jerked like the 2011 taurus limited I took to houston earlier this month. It was a nice *** car, but if you stomp on it you better have a deathgrip on the wheel or its going up the curb.
