got bored, so i bought some spray on bedliner

got tired of looking at my dented rear bumper, and i cant build a new one yet

so i decided to sand down the silver bumper, and do it in black bedliner.

so far, i have two coats on and it looks pretty sweet. the lack of shine on it will help hide the big dent im thinking. unless you're up close of course.

seeing how this stuff turns out, if i like it enough, the bottom half of the truck and sliders and bumper will be coated in this.

Do the whole bottom half of the truck. It'll look sick.

i plan on it

just need about 10 more cans of the stuff and a lot of time to sand and prep
i hate preping for paint. so time consuming.

^^ x2 especially with white, i was debating doing it to my truck somewhere down the line, my flares/bottom of my truck is starting to get beat up from rocks and crap and that liner would probably help a hell of a lot

i think its called plastikote or something
whichever one it is that walmart carries
it was like 7 bucks a can so i couldnt really say no.
i was going to get the gallon of roll on for the awesome texture it'd give me. but they want like 45 bucks for that. so i said screw it.

I like the outcome. Were your bumpers painted or chrome before?

Looks pretty good. Bust out the DA sander and get lining the body ASAP

We'll see how things are after I move, I'm planning on doing it before the winter. I'd like to do it this summer. My rockers and door bottoms are beginning to rust thanks to Ontario winters.

yeah lol, no luck
im sure i could have done better if i took the bumper off, but i was a bit too lazy for that. and its not really worth it considering this will be gone in a few months. i just wanted something to hold me over till i build my rear bumper

Looks alright. Should have gone with the Herucliner. Its a roll on and is like $20 bucks a quart. Just did my front bumper and valance. It would look a lot better imo.

You could always take your bumper off and try and bang it back out again a bit.
