well i think i change my mind about this weather. lol. just came in after 3 hours hours of trying to get me unstuck. was going along next to a ditch, fell in a washout for the ditch, snow was prolly 6'+ barried the hood, snow was up to the bottom of the window, while the back of my truck was way up in the air. i hit the hole at prolly 10-15mph then went to a dead stop.

i think i messed up my grill :( prolly fixable tho. everything else seems ok on the truck. something smelled really hot while it was sitting in the snow

took 2 3/4 ton trucks to get me out. first one was a f250 4x4 (gaser) got stuck before he got to me. second one was a 3/4 dodge cummins, mudders and a plow. needless to say he jerked both of us out without too many issues. but almost got a tractor to get all 3 of us out.

wish i had some pics, but it was no time to take pics. the 250 almost slid into the ditch and it got kinda serious after that.

but i plan on going out tomorrow. :)

i wish i had 4x4 so i could pull people out cuz that would be fun to do...

Man sorry to hear about that, hope there's no damage. Up here the snow is all suddenly melting.. it's sort of stupid but some big parking lots me and friends go to are super slick (ice with water on top) and you can slide all day long. I wish all the snow wasnt melting though.

Zach,

That reminds me of one time I was driving along in my Splash with some nice wid[er] 255/60 summer tires, out on some country backroads near my friends house in some fresh snow. I wasn't doing anything weird, was cruising very low RPM in 3rd gear at about 30mph.

Anyway, I crested a hill and the rear end got loose. I almost had it corrected, controlling a nice little drift. It was almost fun, until the rear end decided to grab a dry spot and sling-shot me into some dudes yard, thus burying me in the snow.

A '97-ish Ford 4x4 tried, a larger Dodge tried, and I finally had to call my friends Dad who had a large John Deere bohemoth tractor to yank me out. It sucked...but my truck blue was so pretty against all the white snow.

no not as bad, snow melts away. all that ice is from the snow that filled the engine bay then melted after i parked it. lol

grill is dented a bit, but ill fix it when the snow melts off. ya the 15x10 definatly fill, but they dont vibrate and get off balance as easy as the old wheels and tires. but ya kinda sucks they fill up.

swoop sounds like a very simular situation but yours was on accident. mine was... ah i can make it.lol

good news is we are suppose to get 3-4 inches tonight and the wind is blowing bad agian. lol, i might go out later tonight agian. i know we have some 4'+ drifts in the yard im thinking about tackling.

We went out last night, and I convinced my friend to drive accross this dirt field thing. Anyways, as soon as his front tires hit dirt, he sank to his axle! We were at my friends contruction site, and they hadnt taked the machinery back yet, so we went and got the Front end loader to get him out, lol. what a site that was.

The snow is fun, no doubt, it just sucks when you loose control in it!
