Had to pay allot of $$$$$$$$!!!
I took my Ranger to PepBoys to get my rear brake pads replaced. I was quoted like $150. I was like, cool, lets do it. But upon closer inspection (by the mechanic) my right rear wheel/axle seal was leaking which would require the differential to be opened up, and they also recommended that my left rear wheel/axle seal be changed as well. Then they found my front brake rotors warped as well (confirmed by me). So 2 rear brake pads, 2 rear wheel/axle seals, gear oil + an additive, front brake rotor re-surfacing, and labor. . . . . . . . . . $600.30............ plus 10% off military discount, grand total was $539.17. . . i was amazed!! So my bank account took a hit yesterday.
shoulda done it all yourself for the price of parts, which would have been a whopping $15 for oil, $5 for additive, $45 for quality shoes, $20 resurfacing rotors, $50 for quality pads, and $5 ea for axle seals.
Sucks about how much it cost.
Always do it your self cheaper. If you don't know how usually there are people you know that can help.
If you cant find anyone post on here there are a few members from AZ that might help

Exactly, there are some members on here that a) do not have the required tools to do the job, b) do not have the space to do the job, c) do not have the ability to do the job, and d) have the money to get someone else to do the job.
At least you got the work done and it's done correctly. Sometimes it pays to pay.
