Half doors on a 98 w/ extended cab?

Hey guys what's going on? I'm thinking about picking up a set of stock doors to fab up some half doors. Anyone have any helpful hints or photos? Also less improtant... I'm in va... Any legal issues with this? I've see a few sets of tube doors and those look pretty awful. Any help would be appreciated.

Legal issues would depend on the state, as the federal government doesn't regulate vehicle inspections. I know in Texas, it's no problem....you'd pass inspection without issue here. Doors aren't a required safety item here (but windshields are)

You can just put your regular doors on when you need it inspected.
