So this is going to sound stupid but my buddy and I were looking at my headlights today because I got new corner and blinker lights in the mail.

I have a 98 so it's a 3 peice headlight, I noticed the corner has an amber bulb but it doesn't do anything. And I can't recall it ever doing anything, has it been out forever? What's that bulbs function? It doesn't do anything with my brights, running lights, blinkers or hazards.

I been youtubing trying to see someone's stock headlights function but had no luck.

 

its technically a 2 piece since that corner and lower piece should be together on the same assembly.

anyway, yeah, that light doesn't do anything, it just stays solid amber.

 

I switched it out to a high output minibulb (like one for the 3rd brake light) and its bright enough to use when pulling in driveway/sneaking around/whatever. Its bright enough to see about 15 feet clearly. And its the same color as the headlight so its not an awkward amber
