ok last night my headlights wouldnt turn on, which is a big problem at night in the country, well i finually got it home and the net day me and my brother were lookin at it and the switch and the harness that connects to the switch was completely melted

so i was wonderin if this has happened to anyone before and if so what did you do to fix it cause i need my lights haha

i have a 1998 ranger xlt

 

first find out what shorted out to cause it to melt check two make sure the fuses are the right amps an put an new switch in try the junk yard first

 

the switch burnt all up, and everything was right, but i already got it fixed thanks though
