help with a drone kind of noise from the front end

im getting a drone noise from the front end and a little bit of shake in the steering wheel. i jacked it up and checked the wheel bearing and neither wheel has any shake in it. could it possibly be the driveshaft in the front since i got the superlift? any suggestions appreciated

Easy way to tell would be to pull the shaft and drive it.

May as well try it... should only take a few minutes. If that doesn't solve the problem it could still be a bearing - just not bad enough to have that much play in it. Pick up a cheap stethoscope from Harbor Freight or somewhere like that and you'll be able to tell if there is one noisier than the other. Just make sure you have the truck very securely on stands!!

Could just need a tire rotation if you haven't done it in a while. The Ranger tends to be heavy up front and wears on the front tires pretty good. I have to rotate at least every 8k. If I don't i will start hearing the tread.
